Die Ernte startete zwei bis drei Wochen fr\u00fcher. Grund: In der Vegetationsphase lagen die Temperaturen jeden Monat um 1 bis 3 Grad h\u00f6her als gew\u00f6hnlich. Und es regnete kaum, ausser im Juni. Wir wissen: Ein Jahrgang allein sagt noch nichts \u00fcber den Klimawandel aus. Doch verschafft man sich einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber die vergangenen Jahrzehnte, zeichnet sich eine klare Entwicklung ab: Seit rund 30 Jahren wird es in Bordeaux in der Tendenz w\u00e4rmer und trockener.\r\n\r\nDie Winzerinnen und Winzer entwickelten in dieser Zeit Techniken im Umgang mit Hitze und Trockenheit. Mit dem sogenannten Canopy Management werden die Laubarbeiten angepasst. Die Winzer achten darauf, dass gen\u00fcgend Bl\u00e4tter die Trauben vor zu viel Sonne sch\u00fctzen. Auch hilft in der Sommerhitze, wenn man die Reben h\u00f6her wachsen l\u00e4sst, die Trauben also weiter entfernt vom w\u00e4rmenden Boden stehen. Vermehrte Begr\u00fcnung zwischen den Rebzeilen wirkt ebenfalls k\u00fchlend.\r\n\r\nBew\u00e4sserung ist in Bordeaux normalerweise verboten. Weil der Juli 2022 extrem trocken war, durfte in einigen Appellationen ausnahmsweise bew\u00e4ssert werden. Zur Vorbereitung auf langfristig heissere und trockenere Sommer wird im Weingebiet auch an alternativen, hitzebest\u00e4ndigen Rebsorten geforscht. Heute sind sechs Rebsorten zus\u00e4tzlich zu den klassischen Bordeaux-Reben zugelassen. Zum Beispiel Touriga Nacional aus Portugal oder Marselan, eine Kreuzung aus Cabernet-Sauvignon und Grenache.
