Ob Burgund oder Bordeaux, unglaublich wie sich gegenw\u00e4rtig die gener\u00f6sen Jahre h\u00e4ufen. Innerhalb eines Jahrzehntes z\u00e4hlt man heute 5 Jahrg\u00e4nge mit einem \u00dcberfluss an Sonne und W\u00e4rme<\/strong>. Fr\u00fcher gab es vielleicht einen. Es herrscht eigentlich Einigkeit, dass der Klimawandel gr\u00fcssen l\u00e4sst. Allerdings hat man auch schnell gelernt, auf die neuen Verh\u00e4ltnisse zu reagieren. Innerhalb der M\u00f6glichkeiten wenigstens…! Wenn man mit dem n\u00f6tigen Fingerspitzengef\u00fchl je nach Rebsorte und Parzelle den optimalen Erntezeitpunkt<\/strong> fand und w\u00e4hlte, konnte man im 2018 von einem wunderbaren zweiten Halbjahr<\/strong> profitieren, was zu hervorragenden Konditionen f\u00fcr die gesamte Ernte f\u00fchrte. Und die war lang: vom August (f\u00fcr die Weissen) bis in den Oktober hinein (f\u00fcr die sp\u00e4t reifenden Sorten wie den Cabernet Sauvignon). Davor, vom Winter bis mitten in den Sommer hinein, sah das Bild genau gegenteilig aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es gab zwei grosse Probleme: der Frost betraf nur einige Bereiche, aber dort war man ihm schutz- und machtlos ausgeliefert. Aber alle hatten mit dem Mehltau zu k\u00e4mpfen. Eine besonders fiese und prek\u00e4re Attacke fiel just auf das 2018er Weekend de France<\/em><\/strong> schlechthin am 14. und 15. Juli<\/em>, wo sich ausgerechnet der franz\u00f6sische Nationalfeiertag und Fussball-WM-Final mit dem siegreichen Frankreich und Kroatien die Hand gaben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Wetter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jean-Philippe Masclef von den Domaines Clarence Dillon (Haut-Brion etc) fasste 2018 so zusammen: \u00abDie erste Halbzeit hatten wir les pieds dans l\u2019eau<\/em>, in der zweiten la t\u00eate dans le ciel<\/em>.\u00bb<\/strong> Mit anderen Worten: es begann nass und dauerbew\u00f6lkt, bis sich die Situation ab Mitte Juli schlagartig umkehrte, und es ohne Unterbruch drei Monate lang nur noch strahlende Sonne gab. Wer schadlos durch dieses Jahr der Kontraste kam, konnte jubilieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Jahrgang 2018<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In vieler Hinsicht \u00e4hnelt 2018 dem glorreichen Jahrgang 2016, wenn auch nur in Sachen Jahresverlauf und Stil der Weine. 2018 zeigt sich in der Breite weniger homogen. Die Rotweine zeigen hohe Konzentration, welche noch verst\u00e4rkt wurde durch den warmen Herbst. <\/strong>Dieser entzog den Beeren Wasser und l\u00f6ste so eine Art Amarone-Effekt aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grosses leisteten die Weing\u00fcter, welche die Lektionen aus den Jahren wie 2003 gelernt haben und so die Frische und Harmonie bewahren konnten und die Gradationen in Grenzen halten. Fran\u00e7ois Mitjavile schw\u00e4rmt betreffend seines Terte Roteboeuf (St-Emilion) und Roc de Cambes (C\u00f4tes de Bourg) von der sch\u00f6nen Ausreifung im Herbst, \u00abqui pr\u00e9sente un \u00e9clat, une gr\u00e2ce et l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 aromatique. Vivaldi!\u00bb<\/span> Die konzentriertesten Weine mit viel weichen Tanninen und tiefdunkler Farbe und Frucht im kalifornischen Stil lassen nicht \u00fcberraschenderweise in Superlativen schw\u00e4rmen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
